The gentleman who reported this is correct, a rogue affiliate is sending spam emails which actually go to the legitimate McAfee site.
The common element in his and my case is the affiliate ID 1079...
Someone should take this seriously and not just blow it off as scammers.
I have attached the trace logs of the link in the email, end up right on https://www.mcafee.com
Got this email today, looks like somebody took some action !! Way to go !!
