You get fake emails from scammers posing as McAfee

Not sure why you are dismissing this so quickly

The gentleman who reported this is correct, a rogue affiliate is sending spam emails which actually go to the legitimate McAfee site.

The common element in his and my case is the affiliate ID 1079...

Someone should take this seriously and not just blow it off as scammers.

I have attached the trace logs of the link in the email, end up right  on https://www.mcafee.com

Got this email today, looks like somebody took some action !! Way to go !!

This has been flagged to respective affiliate team to break the redirect and address with the source. We thank you for sharing such valuable information with us, which helped us to stop such Emails. Well, maybe not... spam still coming got one today... ends up at affiliate 1079 still...

Affiliate 1079 has still not been banned. He must be subject to California's acceptable lack of accountability for criminals.
