When I turned on my computer my McAfee security center popped up with a message that my computer was at risk. When I clicked on it it said "McAfee cannot update your software. Please check your internet connection. If the problem continues, please contact technical support."
What is going on? My parents' laptop has been getting the same messages, and they just keep clicking to dismiss the warning. It's not a problem with the internet connection because the internet's working fine.
What do I need to do here?
*edit*
I forgot to say that I already ran the McAfee Virtual Technician and it found nothing wrong. I have McAfee Security Center version 11.0, Virus Scan version 15.0

Conflicker trojan/virus will block the security sites like McAfee,Microsoft, symantec etc.Kindly try to access these site and try to download the free tools from these sites if your able to access the security sites successfully.kindly reinstall the product(for uninstallation use MCPR tool)
Download the MCPR tool from the following link

McAfee software might not detect an active internet connection due to the following reasons:
Conflict with any other security software
Malware infections in the computer
Unable to connect with McAfee server
Or and this works in a lot of cases the installation gets corrupted and a clean uninstall reinstall fixes that
The method is here reboot after each uninatall ie windows removal method and the MCPR removal tool.
