problem with new internet security2010 subscription and old one

Hi guys,

Have 3-user Total Protection installed on 3 PCs with 9 days till expiration. Didn't feel needed it all so just bought and downloaded (after removing security centre) internet security 2010.

However, the problem is it won't recognise the Internet Security subscription and keeps saying, even after trying to re-verify new subscription, 9 days till expiration. Any ideas how to get rid of the Total Protection registering and get the new one working?

Thanks.

Al

Re: problem with new internet security2010 subscription and old one

Hi Al,

When you remove the software and reboot the computer it is usually best to also use the MCPR removal tool that can be found at the top of this page under Useful Links. This should remove any traces of the old installation. The next step would be to log into your account and reinstall your software. after reinstalling then reboot the computer again. Then you could check to see if the subscription info has been updated. If you still have problems then a call to customer support would be the next step.

Good Luck

Tom
