preventing quarintine

Im having a problem with my antivirus (aol security suite) moving a .exe file to quarintine calling it a virus/trojan. the exe file is on a game that my class is using as a referance/tool. How do i get my program to acknoledge that this is not a virus/trojan and to trust it?

Re: preventing quarintine

You'll have to temporarily disable VirusScan long enough at least to submit the file to McAfee Labs.

See https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

Especially the bit To send it to McAfee Labs outside the Security Center.....  onwards.

Re: preventing quarintine

Upload it to VirusTotal,

If it comes back with anything else, it's a trojan.

If nothing comes back, then read this post for more information on reporting false positives.

Good Luck!

Good luck, and thanks for the compliment ConorD62.

Kinda old for a Ninja but nevertheless, much appreciated.
