what is idispatch??
nope , it is not answered
pja are you asking a serious question? I wondered as you complained re no answer 1 minute after you asked.
If you are seriously asking a question that message is caused by registry cleaners removing bits of the registry that mcafee uses. this confirmed many times in this thread
https://community.mcafee.com/message/172385#172385
You getting this after a scan?
Uninstall mcafee and reinstall will fix it
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100507
reboot and uninstall all other anti malware programs then run
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/Mcpreinstall.e xe
and reinstall from your account.
Reinstall your other anti malware software provided it does not have real time components they will clash with Mcafee.
Hi pja,
Idispatch is an error that is displayed when attempting to view the McAfee Security report . Some known Registry Cleaning software removes McAfee entries from the HKEY_Classes_Root registry hive, which in turn triggers the iDispatch error.
NOTE: This issue has been reported only on computers running the 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
Hope this answers your question
Thanks,
