dats and virtual tech

dat are up to date but virtual tech does not recognize

I      update my definitions ,then i ran virtual tech and it comes back dat out of date . I check the box to fix which they do!

Then if I check again once again they say dat out of date

Today's DAT is  6999. Check 'About' McAfee if DAT is old. you can try downloading Super Dat

So the problem seems to be with virtual tech

,and I have uninstalled it and re installed it

If it doesn't fix. I suggest you to uninstall all the existing McAfee completely and then run the MCPR tool .

MCPR : http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Restart the computer and reinstall McAfee from uk.mcafee.com.

Did as you suggested,but virtual tech still says dat out of date after I have updated them

I have checked to make sure they where updated so it is a virtual tech problem.

I     noticed on the virtual tech log under dat/engine the expected space is BLANK

and the dat update is shown as 6999.0000.

Please let me know the versions of McAfee and also attach the McAfee Virtual technician log in your next post.

You see the versions in the About screen. Open McAfee - > Click on About (Check it in right top or in right bottom of the McAfee GUI)

Run MVT

Save the log in your desktop

Attach it in your post
