I’m having a program with a white screen on MacAfee Security Centre when ever I open it.
These are the steps ive tried below
1.Click Start and select Search.
2.In the Search box, type CMD and click OK.
3.In the Search results window, right-click CMD and select Run as Administrator.
4.In the command prompt, type REGSVR32 JSCRIPT.DLL and press ENTER.
5.After the confirmation message is displayed, type REGSVR32 VBSCRIPT.DLL and press ENTER.
6.Close the command prompt.
Uninstalled/Reinstalled
I was due a format, so I even formatted my pc
Done all updates.
And ive tried the virtual technician and that just says everything is ok, then the chat wont load.
I don’t know what else to try, please help as I really don’t want to move to another protection program.
My system specs are below
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (all updates done)
Amd Athlon II x4 620 Processor
Nvidia GeForce 9500 1GB
4GB DDR2 Ram
Explorer version 9 (But I never use explorer anyway)
I have done a search on the forum, and there seems to be a lot of people with the same problem, some have managed to solve it by trying the steps in various posts, and some people are still having the problem (like me)
Look forward to replies
Thanks

If your Windows 7 is SP1 and your IE9 is set to default even if you don't use it and you've done all the above then you should contact Technical Support either by online chat or by phone, it's free: http://service.mcafee.com/TechSupportHome.aspx?lc=2057&sg=TS
This is caused by something being set incorrectly, perhaps unintentionally or even unknown to yourself, done by some other software, and they have the tools to check it out.
yes it is windows 7 sp1, but as i said before, ive done a format and only installed mcafee after, and still the same problem, and obviously this is a common problem, from reading on the forum, cant believe this is still on going on.
I just find it strange all you admins/mods seem to blame IE, if thats the case, why cant it be sorted in updates to work with IE, even tho i dont use the browser, you all blame it for the problem.
It's only being reported by a few people lately. It was a major issue with people using beta version of browsers but those reasons don't apply any more. Let me ask one of my colleagues for any ideas he may have. I'll get back to you.
Thank you, i appreciate your help

The interface relies on IE to function whether or not it's your default browser, so it is very likely something to do with that.
Meanwhile I have posted in our private area asking for the Tech Support people to take a look at this thread.
Hi there,
As Ex_Brit said McAfee security center relies upon Internet explorer for display features and its GUI. So any issues over it would impact the interface of Security center . As a last resort , Kindly uninstall IE 9 from security center and let us know the status.
To uninstall Internet Explorer
Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.
Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
Restart the PC and check the status
Regards,
Also SPiRaCY I forgot to ask, when you did that .dll fix you did definitely run the command prompt as Administrator?
There is that and some other steps mentioned here: https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-3000

@Ex_Brit yep I did run as Administrator regarding the dll fix.
Then since I have been back there’s been 2 McAfee software updates, after the first update it required me to reboot which I did, then I tried opening the security centre and it opened, so I thought cool all is sorted.
Then later on there was another update, I rebooted tried opening security centre, back to square one again, blank white screen.
So then I tried @Dinz suggestion of uninstalling IE9, which I have done, rebooted, and now im not getting the blank white screen when opening anything to do with McAfee.
I’m back on IE8 it seems ok (fingers crossed)
So surely McAfee has a serious problem working with IE,Going by previous posts and Admins suggestions always pointing to IE.
Anyway I thank you all so much for the (Temporary Fix) because I’m pretty sure this is not going to be the last of this problem.
I will keep you guys informed.
Thanks and I appreciate all the work you do

Just thought i'd mention that just incase.
