VPN and Outlook Email Problem

I have just purchased McAfee - Multi Access. When I turn on the VPN my incoming and outgoing emails from outlook are blocked.Screenshot 2022-08-03 094354.png

How can this issue be resolved?

Greetings from McAfee!!

Initially, when VPN connected your trusted network gets interrupted. That's the reason where your outgoing and incoming email get disconnected. Email client wont work on VPN where as email through browser will work without issues.

Your explanation might be logical for this specific Outlook problem but I have a similar issue with Apple email app.  If I leave VPN connected and reboot mail app, it will still not connect to the mail server.  Webmail works fine as does the mail app when VPN is disconnected. I Have a similar problem with BBC IPlayer.  Do Apple and BBC have a security block on your VPN?
