I have Windows 7 running on my system. I had installed Mcafee Antivirus Plus 2011 on my system.
But to renew the subscription I bought the CD from source other than Mcafee and installed it after uninstalling the first one.
But now the new product is not getting activated, giving error that mcafee is unable to activate.
Please help..

Please follow the below steps and then try activating your McAfee programs .
If you still encounter any issues while activating please provide us with a screen sht of the error message .

Thank you Sir for your reply, I did the steps as mentioned by you. But nothinghas happened I am getting the same reply and the softwre is not getting activated.

There should be some issues with the subs installed on the PC contacting McAfee servers for activation . Sorry for the inconvenience caused with the activation , Can you please click on Useful links at top of this page and then click on Technical support , contact our chat tech so that they help you activate your subscriptions .

I'm facing the same problem mentioned above. I paid someone to activate/install the anti virus from the CD, but am unable to activate. The subscription tab says I need to activate by 25th, which is tomorrow so I'm very worried. Have spent many hours trying to fix it but nothing works. I even tried the cmd.exe procedure but it says "c:\program" is not valid or something. Please revert ASAP and help! Have tried the tech chat thing but that didnt happen either - maybe because there is no "india" on that list!
