Redundant request for permission to access the internet

Jump to solution

I regularly get a popup asking me to give permission (one time or always) to the same program (such as Microsoft Edge). I give "always" permission. Then a few days later I am asked again. How do I get the permission to stick?

I'm having having the same issue. No matter how many times I select allow always it asks for permission every time I open a browser. So far it happens with Chrome and Brave. I'd send you info about version and build, but apparently nobody at McAfee thought it valuable to be able to copy the text from the about screen.

The problem isn't blocking. A child could do the blocking instructions. The problem is that it doesn't save the always setting and asks every time.

I solved the problem by getting rid of the software and getting something else. Thanks for your help.
