When I purchased All Access 2015, I saw the option to install the Vault software. I now realized that I don't want to use this.
However, it placed a folder called "Mcafee Vaults" in my documents folder. I am trying to delete but it won't let me.
How do I remove this folder?
Please help. Thanks.

This is a problem I encountered 4 years ago and after several hours of calling McAfee and 20 some odd tickets later, I figured it out myself. 4 Years later, I had to do it again and couldn't remember. Several hours later of talking to techs who didn't know what they were doing, I figured it out for myself, again.
First, you have to uninstall McAfee using the MCPR tool mcaf.ee/mcpr.
Then, browse to the folder containing the "McAfee Vault" folder.
Right click the folder.
Click Properties.
Click Security.
Click Advanced.
Delete the "Everyone" user which is "Denied".
Apply and exit the windows with "OK,OK..."
Delete the folder.
Cause: McAfee changes the security settings for "Everyone" on the "McAfee Vault" folder. Amazing that they still don't have this in their knowledge base...
It's a bit of a long way around but what you'll have to do is uninstall everything via Control Panel (this will vacate 1 license on your account page), cleanup with the MCPR tool, then reinstall using the Custom option to only install what you want.
See this FAQ for details: How To Uninstall/Reinstall McAfee Consumer Products EXCEPT Anti-Theft
The above operation should only take a few minutes if this is a high-speed connection, but will involve 2 reboots.
Is there a way to move the "mcafee vaults" folder and keep it out of my documents folder?
Perhaps this could be easier if there's a way.
Please clarify. Thanks.
By the way, did you set it up with user name and password or not?

No that isn't allowed by the software.
No - it's not a real folder, it's a link to the vault application. You can't move it or delete it.
Your choices are ignore it, or uninstall, reboot, and reinstall without selecting that option.
Wow is that annoying. All I wanted to do is just trying the d**m thing.
I hate being tricked like that...
Not sure I understand - what trickery are you facing?
I was not exactly that this "vault" thing was before I installed.
Like most programs, I though I could try and just uninstall it if I did not like it.
The fact I tried this "vault" and now I can't remove this folder is something they should've disclosed prior to installation.
They need to remember that not everyone is an advanced user of these products.
