I completed a full scan using McAfee Security Center and it found 5 trojans. However, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them and I was forced to restart my computer due to automatic updates popping up. So I came back to my quarantined files and they were gone. I rescanned again (full scan) and it found nothing! I am scanning once more hoping it will find them but I doubt it will. Can someone please tell me why it can't find anything now or how to actually get rid of them? As far as I know I have Antivirus Plus, the icon is still sitting on my desktop.
Yea I did a full scan again and nothing...They are definitely still there so it's just not detecting them.
People seem to have good luck running the free versions of www.malwarebytes.org and www.superantisyware.com. They seem to find things mcafee misses. I've run them both and they do find adware and spyware that are missed by mcafee.
Hi ChaseS and, c.o.b.b. ,
I'm interested in knowing if c.o.b.b. suggestion of "malwarebytes and, superantisyware worked for you ChaseS ?
