File submission process is not much feasible

I wish McAfee could provide a portal by which users can analyze a file or web address or file hash of SHA256 or MD5 hash.

I hope a new portal soon be provided for such a simple task. The present system of submitting a sample is too complex whether submitting samples via email or GetSusp tool and is not feasible.

Almost all major ones like Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Avast, Norton etc. provides such portal for the purposes of submitting suspicious file, web address, file hashes. This will also help McAfee to get more samples for analysis so that it can improve its detection rates.

Hi @The_Eagle_007

We regret for the inconvenience!

A false positive occurs when your virus scanner incorrectly identifies a clean or harmless file as being infected by malware. Your virus scanner might then try to quarantine or even delete that file. Kindly refer the below article for details.
