Does the latest DAT file supercede all that go before it?

Hi,

Quick question for everyone.

If you miss deploying an old DAT file which is, let's say, from a month a go and then you go and deploy the most recent DAT file. Does the most recent DAT file supercede the old one? i.e. you dont have to worry about not deploying the old DAT file.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Re: Does the latest DAT file supercede all that go before it?

Hi tom,

If you have installed the latest dat file that covers all the latest threats , yet McAfee VirusScan DATs are normally updated daily, and it is important to have these installed on your computer as soon as possible.  In the event of a major virus outbreak, McAfee will release updated DATs ahead of the normal schedule.

Thanks,

Dinesh K
