Help!
When I activated my McAfee Total Protection 2013 , a window appeared with this message :
" Please wait while we connect to McAfee.com....."
I waited for 2 hours and it was still loading! My internet connection speed is fast (11 Mbps) and I am running on windows xp, sp2.
I tried a couple of times with the same problem.
Appreciated very much if anyone could help to activate.

I believe sp3 and ie7+ are required.
As safeboot suggests why are you not updated already? Support for XP is being dropped by Microsoft soon so best to be on the latest patches for safety.
IE8 amd SP3 and then retry the install. I assume your ram is at least 1gb 500Mb pushing it especially if some of that is being used by onboard video.

Download the Windows Service Pack 3 ISO Image file from here and Install it on your PC. Please update your Internet Explorer browser to version 8 and try Activating / Installing McAfee.

I just love my windows xp, but I'll have to move on to catch up with the latest windows.
I might upgrade to windows 8.

It works. Anyway, I might upgrade it to windows 7 or 8, as xp is phased out soon.
