Can anyone shed some light on this? 10GB seems a bit high...

McAfee LiveSafe 14.0 R12

Security Center 15.3.3061

AV build 19.0.3060 / Engine 2892.0

...

McClientAnalytics.exe ver 2.1.136.0

McClientAnalytics.dll ver 2.1.136.0

On a Win 7 SP1 box that reports as up to date.

Hi Joseph,

Please restart the PC and check if the issue persists. If yes then contact Tech Support from the below link whom will apply a workaround to temporarily fix the problem.

Re: Analytics memory leak

After checking for updates within McAfee, I rebooted. Memory usage for mcclientanalytics climbed continuously, hitting 1 GB within ten minutes. I've disabled the service.

Questions:

1) How will those of us who have turned off the service know when a fix has been issued?

2) If I visit service.mcafee.com, is there an article I can lookup that provides the work around?

3) Why not simply post the work around to avoid wasting time, both mine and the support reps?
