I was on the Conference call yesterday as well,and I can confirm what Colleague Peacekeeper said. In addition the Senior Level Engineer/Manager corresponds with SEO Support Personel/Devs on a regular basis. We will bring your comments to his attention.
I have emailed the 'Powers to be', if you will.
Hello Wayne,
I will have to confirm that we are discussing the same issue here. We will continue our investigation and post back our findings. One of my colleague will reach out to you.
What we heard was reported correctly however the tech was mistaken on which issue we were discussing. He thought it was an older issue. As selvan says he will investigate this further.
Sorry I lead you astray but we only reported what we were told.
hello,
the last message has been from 30th of may where selvan is confirming the problem and would post back findings.......
i am using thunderbird and 2 weeks ago the mcafee addon was disabled by mozilla. i contacted my local mcafee support by chat and the conclusion was that they had sofar only reports for the 32bit version and not the 64bit version. my version is 32bit. they appologized for the inconvienience however.
the message from mozilla on this plugin ;
1354912 - Block McAfee Anti-Spam Thunderbird Extension v2.0 for Thunderbird >= 52.0
since my antispam is now not working at the moment and the last reply on this topic has been some weeks ago i was curious of perhaps selvan has some new update on this item ?
my mcafee product is lifesafe
Me too will ask re this now.
thank you Peacekeeper for your reply.
i do hope that a fix is evolving at Mcafee for this problem and that they will react to your request.
when a fix is presented i do hope that mozilla will be contacted by Mcafee that they have to remove the hardblock for the antispam addon.
as a thunderbird user i do not have currently the option to enable it myself.....
I am a TB user as well was the one who reported it to Mcafee. No reply yet sorry
Investigation still continuing
thank you Peacekeeper for your answer and effort.
at least we know that it is still on the table.
we only have to wait a little longer for the fix..........
i will continue to look for updates in this topic.
Ok issue is now fixed at least I am running AS with no crashes.
To have the fix you need Security center 16.0.1 or better. Once this installed and AS activated Mozilla will install version 3.0 of the Thunderbird AS extension.
If you have lower than 16.0.1 you will have to wait for catch up sorry.
