Retail card activation problem

Can anyone please suggest how I can resolve this problem?  I have an existing subscription for 10 devices. It's expiring soon. I bought two retail cards to renew my subscription. Ok bought two 5 device 3 year subscriptions. However when I activated the cards the McAfee subscription system loaded them as 5 devices 6 yrs subscription instead of 10 devices 3 years subscription. I've tried on numerous occasions to contact McAfee via their chat feature.  I get put through to agents that can hardly speak english. They pass me around from department to department. Sometimes they tried to call me but the call gets disconnected. It's was extremely difficult for them to understand the problem. The last stupid suggestion I got from them was to return the retail card and get a refund. They don't understand that retailers don't refund McAfee retail cards. What can I do?
