Re: How do I remove inactive devices from my account page?

I also had this question (and a lengthy robotic type chat with online support about this) seem to be confused as to what Support sees and what i see as different things and below is transcript of this chatlog.

You are chatting with AGENT.McAfee LLC

6:16 AM Connected. A supportAGENTwill be with you shortly.

6:20 AMAGENT”:

Thank you for contacting McAfee support. My name is “AGENT”. I'll be glad to assist you, John.

6:21 AMAGENT”:

To ensure that I have understood correctly, you want to reinstall your Subscription in new PC. Is that correct?

6:22 AM John:

No

6:23 AM John:

I would like to request the old device names are removed from my account which no longer in use or have subscription with as they are previous installations of my current Laptop Device, of which i have a fresh installation of the same McAfee Total Protection product

6:24 AM John:

I only have two devices LAPTOP and Samsung Phone which both have current installations

6:25 AM John:

Samsung Galaxy ***** & LAPTOP-********

6:26 AMAGENT”:

So, you want to install in your Phone?

6:26 AM John:

no, I don’t need any more installations

6:27 AM John:

I currently have devices named in my account I want to request be removed from my account.

6:27 AMAGENT”:

After reviewing your account under the e-mail address "*********************", I have verified that you are currently subscribed to McAfee® Total Protection    - 5 Devices until 03/28/2018.

6:29 AM John:

yes, I am aware of this

6:30 AMAGENT”:

John in account we cannot remove the devices as it will reflect in your account by default.

6:31 AMAGENT”:

We can deactivate from our end and it will take 90 days to remove from server.

6:32 AM John:

I would like you to deactivate the two devices marked as OLD DEVICE in the account page, leave the other devices as they are.

6:33 AMAGENT”:

Please provide me the device name to deactivate under which McAfee subscription.

6:33 AM John:

Both are renamed as OLD DEVICE

6:34 AMAGENT”:

  Let me check John.

6:34 AM John:

  thanks

6:35 AMAGENT”:

6:38 AMAGENT”:

Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience.

6:38 AMAGENT”:

We have successfully deactivated PC name as OLD DEVICE from our end. And it will take 90 days to remove from server.

6:39 AMAGENT”:

Is there anything else I can do for you today?

6:39 AM John:

is that for both of them named as old device

6:40 AMAGENT”:

We have deactivated one device name as OLD DEVICE.

6:41 AMAGENT”:

As you have only one device name as OLD DEVICE.

can you tell me what other devices there are?

Re: How do I remove inactive devices from my account page?

I also note that it is over 90 days since you asked about this so they should have disappeared by now if you had uninstalled or reformated your PC and not reinstalled McAfee then.

Is this a paid subscription? If so can you delete this yourself use IE to view account. A tech will be here to ask more questions later on.
